Off to Singapore

Hey everyone! I will be off to Singapore just a while more.. like 8 hours from now.. Shout out loud..(SOL)...heh.. Will definitely missed celebrating this new year in church.. where we hear about testimony from others of how God has been good to them despite... ... ... Before this, it occured in my mind that i would like to share about how God has been so so good to me during this year watchnight service.. but now that i will be away to Singapore, so maybe i should just share this in this post..

1stly, Thank God for His faithfulness- Was very much lacked in spending time with God this year.. service likewise, and fellowship with church members has been distant.. hasn't been evangelistic as well.. Basically, ineffective! Despite that, God has been faithful in keeping with His promised. You never let go..

2ndly, Praise God for His goodness- God has been good to me in giving this profession that i am in.. Badminton has always been my passion. And He provided for my needs by leading me into this..

3rdly, And lastly to friends who have impacted me in a way or another in my life journey with God.. - This people are like messengers send from above into your life. They share with you their experiences as brothers and sisters who have been through in life more than me.. It's amazing what WORDS can do to you.. It can either built you up or bring you down..

Now i have more stability. But still there's a lot more room for improvement in spiritual life. To get back to where i used to be and more. I want more than this.

I hope year 2009 will be a better year for me in every aspect. Same goes with all of us in SaGc. Till then, blessed new year sagc'ians folks and c u guys next week!

And hopefully will get some nice pics to be posted up soon during our(Isaac, Darren, me) time there.

Shalom~

1 John 4:712

L-LOVE
O-OTHERS
V-VERY
E-EXTRAVAGANTLY
L O V E

7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son[b] into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for[c] our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

If we claimed that we love Him then... we must love our neighbours.. especially those who belong to the family of God.

Another Sunday that have passed and i am reminded again of God's love towards me. His faithfullness. Pretty much sums up what i've been thinking through as i look back at year 2008 that is coming to an end. Going through rough moments and finding what is my 1st priority in life. During those trial moments was absolutely a real test. So many things to distract me away from what i've been called to be and do. The things of this world. In the midst of all those uncertainties and worldly values that start to creeps in little by little adds to a real confused me.
Inspite of that, i can really testify that God's love and faithfulness never cease to keep coming back. Amazing! Praise God! Great is His faithfulness! God uses people like u and me to help those who are weak. I believe that what i've gone through will also make me a stronger believer in Him.

This morning Uncle Aaron Lai asked us to respond out of love for Him who have loved us so so much. I have to say it actually troubled me. In saying so, i also realise that i have to because of what He has done for me. Therefore, i need to start rearrange the wood for the sacrifice. A menu guide for my spiritual fitness is needed. Hopefully i will pull through this week with much victory.

Only by His grace.

Praise Him

All the way my Savior leads me
He guides me along life hurdles
And makes me lie down in green pastures
My soul is at rest
My heart is alive again and i can hear Him again

He is the rock on which i stand
His promises never fails
He said, " I will never leave you nor forsake u"
His words are true
And i believe for sure

Though I've come far away from u and parted from your ways
Yet You never gave up on me
Your unfailing love reaches down like rain
And You brought me back to your arms again

I want to thank You Lord
For what You have been to me
I will sing praise to You all of my days
I will make joyful noise unto the Lord
And dance before Your presence

You have come to show us how to live
So let me be your hands and feet
To do the things that you do
Let everything that i am be all that You want me to be

What car to buy?

Toyota Unser
This would be an ideal choice as i can stuff in many people into my car and use it to serve others.
But there's always the 'mau gaya' mentality which Toyota Unser doesn't fit into the picture.
Big dilemma over here.

Nissan Sentra
The reason for this choise is because Nissan market value cars tend to drop more than Toyota and Honda. I don't really fancy this but who knows i might have to get this due to my financial constraints.

Honda City
Super cool car. Price a bit higher though.

Toyota Vios
Nice with the skirtings. Better body frame compared to Honda. Quite cool.

Cant afford to get a brand new one because planning to pay a huge downpayment so that i can reduce the interest. I am so desperate to get a car now.. which is not going to be so soon...Maybe by January or February.. I"ll wait. =(

I welcome suggestions..

Things that is toying in my mind

Do we separate the holy things of God and things that is not so holy?
Like for example doing church work, going to church every week, praying like a Christian, worship like a Christian, talk like a Christian when we are in front of believers and so on..

I think we are very much in danger of behaving like a Christian but have not really tasted God’s presence in our life. All I can is that our judgment of spirituality can be deceiving at times just because we are behaving the Christian way. We tend to restrict ourselves to places that we cannot go, from mixing with non believers too much and sorts.. Christianity is not a matter of rules and regulations but having the right mindset to deal with the things that we consider as sinful, ‘not so holy’.. To have a renewed mind and help those who are in need. Like the lady who was caught in adultery and the religious leaders asked Jesus for the lady to be stone. The religious leader thinks that it is a sin to be touching the lady who was caught in adultery but Jesus acted out of compassion for her. We know the story...

I like the passage which speaks about the sheep and goats in Matthew 25:31-46 because this is what we are called to do and what really matters to God. A helping hand to the needy. The hungry, the sick, the homeless, without clothes, poor, disabled.

Bible study, prayer meeting, sunday morning worship, and all these activities means nothing unless we start to display them.

Oh God, we pray that we will be your hands and feet..
