AFC 2008 experience

To sum it all, AFC was great! We have 49 campers this year, one of the most participants. The expedition to Gua Tempurung was one of the highlight of the camp. Divided into 2 level which we are given the choice to choose between going for the 1&2 level and 1-4level. While journeying my way there, I lost one pair of my sandal due to the strong flow of the river. Being the ‘proud’ person that I am I decided to go on with it although some of my friends decided to offer his shirt to wrap over my feet. Along the way, I could no longer bear with the pain of stepping on stones and rocks. The last resort was to accept the offer. Wrap over my feet with my friend shirt and mine. Feeling much better after that but there were still difficulties. Thank God, the tour guide found a pair of sandal along the way and it is the right side of the sandal. Jehovah Jireh!
In this small way, I see a glimpse of how God revealed Himself to us. Managed to complete the whole expedition after 4 hours of walking and crawling. Was a really good experienced.

Besides that, was good to get to know people from different Brethren assemblies. One of the beauty of being the denomination that I am in.Has been a good time spend during the 4days and 3 nights in camp. A time off work and socialize with people. Feels so much refresh and ‘alive’ now.

Basically that’s it for Assembly Fellowship Camp 2008.

Oh yea, this is not a match making camp.. Not the desperado’s meeting up with the desperadee’s..The purpose was to socialise, fellowship, and to realign our purpose as a Christian.

God is good!
