Prayer

Amazing God revealed something to me and I just have to share about it. It was a Sunday morning and so I wake up a little early to do my routine stuff. 1st thing to do is to rub my eyes and clean it, show a big yawn and lie around a little while more till I really need to get myself ready to go to church. Bath and get my clothes on. Grab my usual Padini jeans and put on whatever shirt that I want to wear. Depending on how I want to present myself that day lah. Make sure that I have a nice hair day, somehow I am just more particular about my hair on Sunday. Ahah. Now u know.


After that grab my “Our Daily Journey” quiet time material. That day the passage spoke about prayer. And it goes like “when you pray, go into the room so that you will not be seen. Do not be like the hypocrites who loves to pray in the synagogue to be seen by man. And your Father in heaven who sees it will reward you. I feel so strongly about this about myself and I am really guilty of this. Hypocrite is what I am. Da da da da da and den go to church and the same words was repeated again. Wah..i really feel that God is trying to speak to me something. This words comes into my mind.“Boy, you have been in this way for far too long and you need to change”. “Get down to your knees to pray and search me again”. It is good to find myself again with the Lord. The delight, joy, satisfaction, and peace in Him. Indeed there’s no other better place to find your comfort but to be in the arms of Jesus. The verse that says “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart” is the thing that came into my mind. It was really a blessing to search and delight yourself in the Lord. Later on I find myself dumbfounded again by another verse that speaks about how God actually delight himself with us even before we delight ourselves in him. God delighting in us! Imagine a Father who sees his son after he comes back work, the joy and excitement that he gets. So also with God but it is more than that since He is God. Verse 17 says that “He will rejoice over you with singing” . Can u imagine that? God sings over us and dance over us. . This is one of my favourite verse

Zephaniah 3:17
“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, he will rejoice over you with singing”.

One of the reason why I like Matt Redman songs so much is that I think he is someone who meditates a lot. In ways how he actually like stand in awe of God by just remaining silent. I can really see that in him. Thanks Matt Redman.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is an act of will and not feelings. Forgiveness liberates one from his/her own bondage of any grudges and bitterness in him. Forgiveness yields freedom, setting the captives free. Forgiveness gives away freely although it does no justice to him/her. True forgiveness involves commitment to begin anew, to confront the situation as it is. A real man is one who have guards to reconcile with the one who have hurt him/her, showing himself/herself that he/she is confident of who they are. We can only forgive when we began to follow Jesus and start to let go (not to mean that we leave it as it is but to let go of our rights) and let God to act. He is our righteous Judge.

Unforgiveness is like someone who is trap in the prisoner cell, not knowing how to get out from the prisoner bars. Unforgiveness brings back old memories of what happened in the past and affects the relationship at present and in future. Unforgiveness is selfish.

Any healthy relationship involves forgiveness. Healthy relationship accepts, gives away freely without expecting anything in return. Any real and healthy relationship begins with an intimate and close relationship with The Almighty. Imagine a picture of pyramid where we are at the other end of the bottom edge. The bottom edge represents you and me. The top edge represents God Himself. It is only when we draw nearer to God, only then will our human relationship gap be closer. The higher we go the narrower the gap between our human relationship becomes.

We cannot experience true forgiveness unless we start to forgive ourselves. How happy is the man who truly forgives. Freedom in Christ and with men. Forgiveness is one of the characteristic of our God and because of Him we find forgiveness for our sins.

True follower of Jesus forgives because He(Jesus) suffered for the forgiveness of our sins. I think the word forgiveness is a word in which we have taken too lightly especially in our human relationship and maybe with God as well. Forgiveness is cheap but it is also so rich.

Enough of saying..need to act upon it. Need to always be reminded that God is my righteous judge. Do not pay back evil with evil. Not to retaliate. To be careful not to speak against anyone or gossip. Only helpful words, those that will admonish others. Sometimes I just need to keep it to myself. To ponder it in my heart.
Ah! How long will I ever learn that?? Over and over again? Need so much refinement man.

We live in your freedom God. =)

Seek first

Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything will be
added unto you.

Kingdom of God
Kingdom matters: Fellowship, Evangelism, Worship, Ministry, Discipleship.

Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in Heaven hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts, as we also forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Notice that the FIRST part of it speaks about kingdom matters and 2ndly our matters.
It is always the case where we need to put God’s agenda ahead of ours. The challenge would be what are we going to do about it? Plans for God’s kingdom? Not only someone who plans but someone who would dream dreams for God. We need to be “God dreamers ” if we are to see any change in our society, our nation. We speak about revival but revival will only come when the church starts to think first of His kingdom. I guess all of us have somehow or rather have been revived by God many times and in different ways.
The problem is just that we don’t act upon it or we think too narrowly about what we are going to about it. Our dream doesn’t last because we have forgotten about or we are being clouded by it, our dream is small.

Do you have any?
Today, tomorrow, months to come, or years to come?
Where will we be?

I am afraid to say that all of us are guilty of this and we need to come to our senses.
We need to stand in the gap between the saved and the lost.



Yes, this is da sermon talk given. Pondering over them.

To be right

We need to be wad we ought to be. To do the right things despite how we are feeling.
To love to care despite how we feel. We need to master over our feelings or else we
will start to act how we feel like. Feelings come and go but the person who does the
right thing is like a solid rock. He will not be move or swayed away easily by the
things that comes his way. A solid foundation. Secure and stable.The sign of a mature believer is determined by how someone sticks to his conviction despite unforeseen circumstances that comes his way.


Random thoughts..

I feel like..

I feel like yelling out!!!! Just couldn't get the stringing adjustment right. Blogging is da onli way where i can get personal and pour it out. At the same time of not being a problem maker to frens whom i share my stuff with. This RSL stringing machine is so so difficult to adjust man...Yannade...Has been going to the distributor for countless times for advise but i just couldn't get it. His name is Din and he's like quite patient in da beginning until i call him so often that he lost some of his temper although he didn't show it out. It has to be so precise and neat or else the string will pull back and looses it's tension. Not only that the string will create gaps when contacted with the shuttlecock. Ah! Has been trying to get it right for dunno how many hours and sweat untill my shirt all got wet. And still the same. Ah! So frustrating man. Suppose to be a good week where i'll get my internet connection, getting to string the racquet properly, and God speaking to me in a reli clear way. Somehow or rather things just get in between and i lost my touch with Him for a few days. Didn't manage to reflect. Ah! God is amazing in revealing His ways to me as i recall.God is good! =). But this 2 main stumbling block(stringing and internet connection) got in the way. 1stly the man who suppose to fix my com should have done it earlier but he keep on procrastinating fixing other ppl's com. He get on my nerves and he keep on asking me to wait for him to come and get it fix for me but he never show up at all until i go and find him. Ah! In the end the internet connection tak jadi..Ah! Coz couldn't reach my shop. (Wireless connection). Ish. That IT man is from India and he will be leaving to Chennai, India this coming Sunday. For those who went to India for mission trip u can follow dat guy along. Let me know if u are interested k? I 'll give u further details. Aha. blablabla.. OK..that's the 1st one..and we go to 2nd wan..jeng jeng jeng.. Stringing adjustment...Ah! so so frustrating...speechless.


Okok..dat aside. Alright, at least tonight i have something to look forward to...going to cg..yay..it's where i'll get to hear God speak once again.. Something to shout out LOUD about.. refreshed and be rejuvenated. Looking forward for a good time in church this weekend.. "undignified dancing around". ahaha. Listen to Matt Redman wei..=)


So dead tired now..feel like sleeping..suffer another 2+ hours and yay..freedom...freedom..And yeah, it is good that God actually created Sabbath, a day of rest for us. After a week of so much happenings, it is good to come back to Him. Reflect and recall of the many things which He has done for us. Sabbath was made for the good of our well being. Or else we will be just existing and not living life as what it meant to be. I can sense those words comin out from God.."Stop your work". "U can work for 6 days but the 7th day is to be a day of rest". Do not be chasing after money like those who doesn't know God, who will work all their lives pursuing after material wealth. Yes i realize that our life is more than money in a better way now. Relationship matters much to God and i am guilty of it. My cousins, aunties and uncles, mum, frens, and neighbour..all of them. Recalling one fo the bible verse that says, if u do not care for those of your own one's u are worse than the pagans..something like dat. I think i need some rebuking here for simply twisting da word of God.aha. Correct me.


Ok, think i shud stop here. Didn't expect to write such a long post. It's good that when i start to pour myself out soem things just came into my mind, recalling some of the good things that happened to me. God is awesome! It has been a good exercise for my brain too..dead cells starting to reform new ones..Yay! Hasn't been studying for a long time and need to get back to study..exam in May. Ah!

Meekness

Matthew 5:38-42
An Eye for an Eye 38"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.'39But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. 41If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.


Numbers 12:1-9
Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses 1Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. 2And they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has he not spoken through us also?" And the LORD heard it. 3Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth. 4And suddenly the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, "Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting." Meekness as someone defines it is the willingness to to give up your own feeble, finite strength and put your life into His hands. When you do, nothing can prevent Him from extending to you His boundless, unquenchable, and eternal wisdom, love and power.

.To be meek is not to surrender our right; but it is the preservation of self-control under provoking circumstances. There is no hint of the spirit of retaliation MEEKNESS will not allow emotions and passion to take the reins of the heart.

Now I understand better the attitude of Moses as he wrote of himself being the meekest man upon the earth. He knew himself, and he knew Christ. Choosing the life of God, he had acquired the spirit of a learner. Moses never thought more highly of himself than he ought; therefore, he could write accurately about himself by God's leading. Note, this statement made by Moses, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, would not have been regarded by the people of his time as a commendation. Being considered as a weakness in character, it would rather have excited pity or contempt in their perverted minds. But Moses was called by Yahweh the meekest man upon the face of the whole earth.

Now the man Moses was very humble,(meek) more than any man who was on the face of the earth.)

Yes, meekness. Lord, just at the right time. (JIT) . Thanks. I would have taken things on my own hands and end up losing everything. Vengeance is yours.

Spiritual attack

There’s something more than meet the eye. More than the physical. Sense that da spiritual realm is so so real..Satan is ALWAYS THERE to trip and tempt us. Satan is at work, he’s da prince of this world so long as we live here on earth. For we are not fighting against the flesh but against the spiritual war out there. So long as we do not follow God den we are under constant attack from Satan. An experienced which i encountered and have even fallen into. A test of integrity.


Job 1:6-7
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Question for thought..

Can Satan come into the holy presence of God where sin and holiness is concern?
