Disappointed, that's what i felt over last weekend Sunday morning worship. The beauty of being a Brethren circle where we are given the privilege to share from the Word of God, prayers,songs, and even to share how God has been good to us, but..we fail tremendously!Theres no song, a word of encouragement from the brothers. Ended up the elder have to dutifully lead the congregation through the sharing of the word and song.. It came to my mind as though that Jesus is looking at what kind of worship are we bringing to Him? It grieved my heart and as i turn to my bible looking at Phillipians 2:5-11..Trying to grasp as much as i could to feel how God would feel for what He has done for us and what are we offering Him during that morning itself..I feel very disappointed wif myself for not bringing a sacrifice that fits His glory and majesty.
Ever felt for a Saviour who will come for a bunch of sinners like all of us???
Phillipians 2:5-11
5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant being made in human likeness. 8And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross! 9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Food for thought, has all our sharing from the word,songs and prayers been a duty or a delight???
I guess we have to live by everyday thankfulness..
